Operation Arrowhead is giving an error?

Alright so this is for my friend who bought Arma 2: Combined Operations off of Steam. I have re-downloaded both of them for him three times now. At the moment I can play only Arma 2. When I go to play Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead it says "Failed to contact key server", when I go to re-install battleye it says the exact same thing, when I go to run Arma 2: Combined Operations it says the same thing as well. He has Six Launcher already downloaded and even when he had both downloaded before we downloaded them again it said "Bad serial number given in setup".

Is there a fix for this?

I looked around and these are the steps I tried for him.

- Run steam as administrator.

- Exit steam and re-open

- re-install combined operations

- verify integrity of game cache (even though on both arma 2 and arrowhead it said something about a file missing, but I tried this same thing on my copy and I got the same result and I can play and run DayZ)

Is there a way to fix this or am I missing something?

I am getting the same errors, I cannot even load up OA without this popping up, and of course if I run Six launcher I get the same serial key error.

I'm having the exact same problem and just purchased the steam version yesterday to play dayz. This is really not cool.

Is there anyone that knows a solution to this? Its kind of dumb. Is it because Steam might not have enough Keys for the game? Whats the problem here.

Same here, bought ARMA 2 & ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead on steam, downloaded both, but only ARMA 2 actually has a cd-key. Created a ticket for steam-support. Hope they can fix it.

Bad karma for steam, for selling games they dont own cd-keys for to the unsuspecting public.

Now what. Wait? This is so bad.. steam= >:(

Same thing here, very disappointed with steam. I bought it on my only two days off, won't be able to play even if I get it now for a couple weeks at least :'(

After looking into it on STEAM forums ( http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2750979 ) It appears it's a STEAM problem so there's nothing you can do about it. Try emailing them and saying that your OA doesn't have a serial key.

Got a reaction yesterday of the steam support telling me to re-install the game.

Today I started steam and it had a key for me! :) no reinstall was needed
