attackshark 1 Posted August 9, 2012 i traveled 13 km with 900 health, ducking and dodging zombies and enemy players for an hour and a half only to die by falling out of a small deer stand. i landed with 300 health, attempted to heal, and then jumped to -1100 health and died. i had finally gotten my hands on a weapon, only to lose everything to the bugginess of the ladders. this displeases me.i implore you to fix the ladders should it be within your power.-we shouldn't have to select a climb option from the action menu; honestly, who the hell thought that was a good idea? who at a bohemia developement meeting thought, "hey, these players will probably be under extreme duress while playing a war simulator. we should probably make the ladders as difficult to climb as humanly possible." in no sense in the history of video games has this ever been a good idea. running up to them to activate a climb should be good enough.-i shouldn't have to worry about falling to my death because the game decides it wants to murder me through glitches; the other players and scarcity of supplies of any/all kinds are bad enough.if it's not within your power, then give me the name of the lead programmer at bohemia and i will "persuade" him to do it.this is a good game, but it's the little things that make great games. Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) If your not already aware of the name of the "lead" programmer or the fact that he's just announced the standalone version of DayZ then I don't fancy your chances. Did you skip straight past the first page? Have you read anything about this free mod in Alpha testing before you installed it? Doesn't sound like it.P.S - I can't wait to see your complaints rolling in when you open a door and your legs break or when your backpack eat's your NVG's.Much love. XatraZaytrax 0 Posted August 9, 2012 Also, walking down the stairs shouldn't lead to broken limbs and shock. I understand my guy is a little malnourished, but he should be that fragile.
Pure (DayZ) 7 Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) try walking off a ladder thats 12 feet and let me know how the outcome is lol. Really its a game things will be fixed slowly, I just want them to fix the hackers more than anything else right now and they are by banning over 10k people, thats why you see dayz sold like an extra 10k copies lol. SystemiK 366 Posted August 9, 2012 honestly, who the hell thought that was a good idea? who at a bohemia developement meeting thought, "hey, these players will probably be under extreme duress while playing a war simulator. we should probably make the ladders as difficult to climb as humanly possible."His name was Bob. Nobody at Bohemia really liked him much and he was fired recently. Are you happy now?
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted August 9, 2012 His name was Bob. Nobody at Bohemia really liked him much and he was fired recently. Are you happy now?Yeh, I personally had a lot of time for Bob but he was crap at bug fixing. Rumour has it that he's so angry about his sacking that he decided to make a copycat game that promises to do everything much better than DayZ. I forget what it's called, "War" something or other. Unfortunatley due to Bobs lack of imagination he's ended up witrh nothing more than a pile of concept art and false promises. Keep trying Bob. I'm on your side. tommes 331 Posted August 9, 2012 I support your motion. Ladder climbing is annoyingly bad implemented.

attackshark 1 Posted August 9, 2012 His name was Bob. Nobody at Bohemia really liked him much and he was fired recently. Are you happy now?no. i want to first give him a puppy. i want him to name the puppy. i want him to spend a whole month bonding with the puppy, going on adventures and picking up chicks on street corners. i want his life to finally turn around thanks to this adorable golden retriever. i want his kids to finally repect him because "dad got a puppy!" and his wife to stop cheating on him because the family is starting to pull together.than i want to show up on his door step and curb stomp the puppy until it is a fine, red paste on bob's stoop.fuck you, bob.
