I think you are missing the point of this game. The challenge is to survive by scavenging' date=' looting, bartering or shooting someone (in my case if they are hostile) thats what makes the game different. Running around on a beach shooting everyone who spawns, is whats turned a very promising survival/mod into a deathmatch.... there are hundreds of online games where if your thing is shooting others is more apt. For one...all i see you is another run n' gunner who will eventually tire of the mod and go back to playing COD and Battlefield.... sooner the better for me.

A noob that hasn explored more than 10% of the game and he wants to judge the game

This is where the GREAT majority of QQing is coming from from noobs stuck at the beancoast not going north to get stuff. which is ok cuz you can do whatever you want but then dont come and QQ cuz the nite is too dark , cuz you cant see your iron sights

There are NVG's to see CLEARLY at nite, you gotta WORK for them

there are weapons with night sights (red dot / tritium) you gotta WORK for them

Once you got any good gear you have worked long and hard to get you will value your life.

And there are propper challanging fights with enemies with full auto weapons/nvg/grenades/vehicles (air/land)/player camps/player groups.

but some ppl wanna have "challanging" fights with noobs with Makaroni pistols and challanging forum QQ

No it doesn't.

You die, you lose your items, you kill someone, you gain items. You work together, the better items you get, you work alone, well, the easier it is to get killed.

Others have made the points that I would make to OP. Basically, a Winchester / Remington and better secondary weapon are not rad items. Personally, once I've gotten kitted out with an ALICE, military rifle, a fair amount of ammo and utility items, that's when I really start to worry about being taken out from a player or making a really dumb move around zombies.

But I think it's all in your head. One time I ran up from Kamenka to a deer hut and found a pair of players moving in on it. But part of my route I had planned counted on me getting some kind of gear / weapon from that deer hut. So to me, these guys were taking -my- stuff, and I'd have felt that I failed or lost something if they took it and went on their way.

There's no obvious reason to feel that way: the hut is on a pretty well known route and is lootable by anyone. But because it was involved in my expectations and I felt entitled to it, I had to kill these guys or else they'd take "my" loot. And I think that's the driving force behind DayZ. It's a true sandbox game in that you're never overtly directed or ordered to do anything. There are items and places to see and interact with, and every time you see a player it can turn out in many different ways. But the decisions you make, your story, are totally up to you.

DayZ receives a lot of flak for this, and I don't think it's by people with poor intent or anything, but I do think that they just want DayZ to be a game that they want to play more. I think that if you play DayZ, you play it because the game it is, not because of how you want it to be. I hate how at night you have to use flares and chemlights every step of the way or else you're moving in the dark, but I respect it because of how unique and extreme aspect of the game it is.

I think losing the Coyote pack that I spent hours scouring a dozen deer stands for after being in the wrong place at the wrong time for a couple of seconds is consequence enough.

How to play DayZ deathmatch:

1) Spend 10 minutes looking for CZ or Enfield.

2) Go to beach, pick off unsuspecting players.

3) If at anytime you die, go back to 1.
