It was from the BI forums with people complaining that they'd been globally banned because of using cheats on DayZ. Disgraced 1123 Posted August 8, 2012 I don't know how battleye works, and I don't speak in this capacity officially for anyone or anything...So personal opinion incoming...I feel like battleye is more reactive than proactive. I would bet that they are learning from this as well, though, and perfecting their methodologies for the stand alone. Cipher1 3 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) I think it is not nice to work for an Anti-Cheat-Software company.Everything you update is hacked in 2 - 3 days again :(But I thank them all for doing this.Other ways there would be so many cheaters online.Thanks at this point!*give virtual beans to BE programmers*PS:How do you want to show someone that the anti-cheat software is working?You can not show something you can not see. jordan2412 60 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) Battle Eye just banned my friend for hacking. He's not a hacker though, he's 15 and had trouble even installing DayZ. He basically gave up because everything says hes screwed now. What we think happened is: we were both in a server, and a hacker TP'ed us and shot the whole group when we spawned in front of him. My friend's legs broke when we TP'ed so he didn't get shot with the rest of the group. It was his first time being hacked so he stayed in the game for a couple minutes because he was worried about his gear. Since my friend didn't die, people must have thought he was the hacker and reported him. He was banned the next day..I have no reason to lie,I can still play. He was wrongly banned. Its pretty bad to see so many hackers in game, and have a guy who's played for about 2 weeks get banned for not doing anything.... That someone can get banned on all Servers for NOT using any cheating tool. just because of a reporting.)Have you tryed other servers?PS: Why would someone stay on a server that got hacked?Stupid!
