My gaming group has had a complete turnaround from seeing hacking everynight to never...what did we do? Switched from US to EU servers. Sad but true...

This is a good idea. My squad got hacked on 4 different "Low Population" US servers last night. We'll put this theory to the test.

Can't be fixed till stand alone, simple as that. In the meantime, find a server that hackers don't go to and stay there.Whether this be due to location, population, or tough admins, they are out there.

But even if you do run into one, have a good laugh and get over your death. There's plenty of other glitchy ways to lose your gear, why rage so hard over this one? Threads like this make things worse, because if hackers know they're making people ragequit over this, it makes them want to do it more.

Actually I believe Bohemia is working on fixing it right now. Last Arma II patch fixed the item duplication exploit (as changelog states)

I'm sure they're doing what they can, however the point still stands. Anyone who has the power to stop hackers is fully aware of the situation. OP is merely raging about the hackers which is only fueling their drive to hack.

Its not worth playing when someone in every server i have been to, teleports everyone and kills them. Something has to be done about it, I think they are using Lost key or some other ArmA GUI to do this. Please fix this!

Cliché threads, deserve cliché responses, man...

hate to burst your bubble but there will still be hackers in the standalone.

There is not a game to date that hasnt been hacked.

that is true. on the other hand. hacking can be greatly reduced. i mean... by just disabling scripting would be a start. wouldn't it?

and disallowing gun possession would reduce the amount of people owning guns.

play on low populated servers the dont hack them cause theres no point to hack 4 people they like hacking 30 people.

This,

Ive played on about 10 different servers, never seen a hacker. All have had <20 players in them.

There is hacking and there is hacking. IMO there is a world of difference between an aimbot and being able to spawn nukes and teleport people.
