DayZ Mod is dead, long live DayZ!

First off great news that were getting a standalone product soon but hear me out please. We all seem to be on tenderhooks waiting each day for a few crumbs of news about the mod, but since the last update/patch i have played Dayz about 3 times as the graphical glitches that have cropped up break all of the immersion that the mod once had. According to the press release yesterday the mod will be updated parallel to the standalone which is great, but folks it's been nearly 2 weeks since this latest patch/update brought these graphical bugs and there has been very little done about it since. I visit the site daily and all the news seems to be about is the number of new players playing the game, these new players are playing an inferior version of the game i started playing 3 months ago. I bought ArmaCO just to play Dayz but now find i'm spending more time enjoying the fantastic depth Arma has to offer, i will get back to playing the DayZ mod once the latest and worst bugs so far have been squashed, but until then any one for some Arma Domination.........DayZ MOD IS DEAD(for the moment)Long live DayZ!

The patch thread was updated literally yesterday with information and an estimated date on the upcoming patch, including the fact that it fixes these glitches.

If you're so interested in news and information, pay attention.

Did anybody who's replied so far actually read what i posted, i do check the forums on a daily basis for information, and while the mod may not be dead to you, in it's current state it's dead to me till it's playable again.

Well maybe you should check harder, there's tons of temporary fixes for the artifacts and a patch to perma-fix it is comming tomorow or later this week.

And maybe next time instead of saying ''hurr durr the mod is dead'', include the fact that it's dead for you, mkay?

But yeah, I expect the recent delays to the patch are probably more to do with Rocket finalising deals, setting up teams and arranging his My Little Pony figure collection on his new desk than lack of any effort.

I've been having the same graphic glitches as everyone else but instead have used the time to catch up on other games i'd neglected during my DayZ binge (KSP and Legend of Grimrock!) the patch will soon be here and we'll all have forgotten about having to wait two weeks....
