linkybaa 2 Posted August 8, 2012 He can run other games perfectly fine, getting 60fps on Skyrim with high settings, but no matter what the settings are on Arma, he lags. Even in the main menu, he only gets a few frames. We've tried hyperthreading, changing launch options, restarting, running as admin, reinstallation, changing settings, downloading drivers, windowed mode etc. but nothing's been working! Can anyone help?
Tweakie 199 Posted August 8, 2012 Yes, i probably could. But due to the lack of information in your post, i can't.Also, don't try to compare the Arma engine with any other games/engines, they are 2 very different beasts.
linkybaa 2 Posted August 8, 2012 What info would you like? He's perfectly capable of running the game, dual core @3.0GHz, 4GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5700 with 1GB VRAM. Not the best card, but it does the job.

linkybaa 2 Posted August 8, 2012 Check the specs, he's capable of running. It turns out when he runs it, it uses 100% of his CPU. How can he fix this?

lye_ex@web.de 1 Posted August 8, 2012 Imo, most games run very bad on dual-core CPUs these days. Try to upgrade to a quad.
