Got a second hard drive, DayZ took a crap.

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I picked up a new 1TB hard drive, stuck it in there along with my old 500 gig, and followed the steps on Steam support to migrate my Steam folder there. Tried some other games, Painkiller, Skyrim, MW3, they all work fine, I assume the problem is that DayZ probably seeks C:\Program Files\Steam\ect. rather than my new K drive. Arma 2: CO launches fine, gets to the MP menu, and I see DayZ servers, but when I try to join one it loads for like 5 seconds and then goes back to the server select screen.

When I posted this on Reddit, I got this response: "Check the shortcut path. If you use Arma Launcher, try to set your Arma and Arma OA to the new locations. If you have just a Shortcut for DayZ, try make a new one with the new Arma locations." But I don't even use a shortcut, I launch Combined Operations straight from my Steam library.

Anybody know wat do? Please explain it to me as though I'm five, I'm just a gamer, not a PC tech.
