Impulse 9 1 Posted May 1, 2012 (edited) This thread is for US 3/4 discussions/donations.I am currently hosting the US3 and US4 servers on my host in New York, Servers are currently set to Pacific time to give some disticition in time for other US Players. Our current server is an E3-1270 with 16GB of RAM on a bursting GB Network connection. I am looking at expanding our current hosting for the mod and continued beta/development support of BIS and the DayZ team. As such running servers can be quite costly. While my community helps with some of the cost of running these servers, adding additional servers is not cheap as all of these threads have shown. Neither is the time associated with maintaining the servers.Donate Directly to UnitedOperations US3/US4If you would like to support other servers please follow the below links for their respective threads.Profanwolf's EU 1, 2, & 3 Servers http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=355Jonnerz's NY1, 2, 3, & 4 Servers http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=346TAW_Tonic's US 1, & 2 Servers http://www.dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=863Impulse 9's US 3, 4, & 5 Servers http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=732Kochleffel's DE 1 & DE 2 Servers http://www.dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=828Roar's UK1 Server http://www.dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=846 Edited July 25, 2012 by Impulse
predator_v2 0 Posted May 5, 2012 Why is EU5 the most laggy EU server. :-/We found our car there, but it lags so hard, we'd prefer to change server..
That Lamer 0 Posted May 7, 2012 Originally I hated vet difficulty, and so I tended to avoid your servers, but recently I've begun to warm up to them since the only feature I dislike about regular difficulty is the name tags from miles away, and there is always room on your servers for my friends and I. Today though I checked the server browser and noticed all american servers including US3-5 are set to regular difficulty. Just wanted to know what the deal was. Mojo (DayZ) 66 Posted May 7, 2012 Lamer, the difficulty is custom configured in .cfg files. Things like "Regular" and "Recruit" are just quick shorthand for giving people an idea.Impulse 9 comes to us from the United Operations gaming group. They're a realism group, and what a lot of realism groups do is turn off crosshairs/3rd person/nametags across all difficulty settings so that regardless of if you're playing regular or veteran, or somebody forgets to set the difficulty on a server restart, you're still getting the same 'UO' play experience every time.Don't be alarmed if you look at a United Operations server and see it on Regular when you're looking for vet. Join up, and you'll see it's still the setup you like.
profanwolf 3 Posted May 7, 2012 Regular doesn't disable the extra info such as range and object in spacebar scanning though, It's hardcoded to be "disabled" only on veteran and expert.
Impulse 9 1 Posted May 7, 2012 As Mojo has indicated, my "regular" settings are basically veteran/expert.We consider 3rd person overshoulder to be a cheat, espically with how it removed the shakes from pain in earlier versions. Couple that with being able to look from behind cover over walls, and thru walls, it is has been my personal choice to disable this setting across all my servers.Add in the morality choice of not knowing whom someone is at a distance, and the game becomes quite a bit more complicated on your "humanity" choices on engaging players or avoiding. worbat 13 Posted May 8, 2012 US4 is currently not saving player locations the last save is from around 1am last night GMT.Unsure if you can solve this issue with a restart or if we just wait it out.

lorden 0 Posted May 9, 2012 You need to fix the script.txt banlist file, since you updated to the new beta A2 patch, everyone gets kicked with a Script Restriction Error #65.
