Crashing so hard that I have to restart.

Hello everyone!

Recently, I've been having weird crashing issues with DayZ. Upon crashing, my sound, graphics, and programs just absolutely die. According to the people I voice chat with, my microphone produces a godawful buzzing noise. On my end, I experiences horrible graphical and sound issues. I am still able hear my friend's voices clearly, but I also hear an underlying buzzing noise at the same time. Steam's interface goes entirely blank and/or is very glitchy. Any other program that I try to launch immediately crashes. I'm not certain whether this is related to DayZ or is merely coincidental, but it seems to be occuring only when I have the DayZ mod loaded. Restarting seems to fix it, but is not a permanant solution.

I'm considering reformating my PC since I installed a new processor without doing so, but I'm concerned about my DayZ character.

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 B93, 2.8GHz

Motherboard: Asus M5A97 Socket AM3+ 970

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTS 250

RAM: 8GB

OS: Windows 7 64-bit

I have been having this issue, and it has escalated to the point that I cannot even load into DayZ successfully and play.
