Mouse Macro's and DayZ

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just a genereal question:

I'm going to get a mouse with macros, and 9 buttons. My current mouse is a super-lame 3-button affair.

So what macros's do you guys use, and what are good button assignments? Any suggestions?

Same as above, I use mouse button 5 for my In-game chat. Also maybe set one to turn flashlight on and off (If you like to carry guns with a flashlight)

Personally use a Logitech G700 with 4 Thumb buttons as follows:

Front Top: Free Look Toggle

Front Bottom: Push to Talk on Vent/Mumble/TS

Back Top: 3rd Person toggle

Back Bottom: Binocs/Range-Finder

Have Weapon Switch, Auto-Run, Flashlight and some harder to reach keys tied to the G-keys on keyboard as well. Useful to tie those G-L type keys to something closer. :)

All about personal prefrence though. A squaddie uses his mouse buttons for croutch/stand/run type things.
