Why bother. They are in such obvious places and its impossible to hide. I set up a base with a couple of vehicles and tents and it gets raided and destroyed. Its easier to just use other peoples tents for storage and steal what you want.

Don't see the big hardon people have for vehicles, minus the helis for obvious reasons. They are big noisy targets that do what? Cut 20 minutes off a NWAF run? All that work scrounging supplies, fuel and shit just to lose them to a stump you hit or a sniper or better yet a hacker? Bah. If I find one with my group we tool around in it for a while but we don't get that attached to them. By myself I like taking them on a coastal highway joyride riding the horn the whole time, getting shot at then crashing the fucker somewhere in Electro for kicks.

I never go to Cherno on a fresh respawn. If I spawn in Cherno Ill hit it quickly and then head North to the next town. The really massive tent cities can be found along the West side and North side of the map. Travel up the West side of the map and you can be fully geared alot quicker than you can by looting towns.

Theres no point. My base (and a few others) were raided two nights back. Then last night 4 new tents are placed 200m south of were our base was/is and 4 tents appear 600m North of were our base is. Both of these tents are full of gear. Then last night a hacker nukes the server. I hit the first town on respawn and head back to the tents coordinates and Im fully geared straight away and could do this several times just off these two tent cities. I also know where about 12 other camps are withing 5km of this area so Im pretty much permanantly set on this server.

I placed a tent between cherno and elektro (On the hill of the fire tower) in a rock, it was like only 10% of it visible, I also placed a tent INSIDE a tree, but I couldn't access it anymore :(

My point is : Try to find a place where like people say in their head "Fuck that, i'm not running that far"

Don't put vehicles by tents if you don't want them to get spotted. Vehicles tend to show up in thermal, and depending on your graphical settings they stick out like a sore thumb anyway (a tractor in a forest far away just looks like a cube sticking out of some trees on low detail). If you care about your stuff, don't hoard vehicles - they are best treated as temporary things.

Tents hold a lot more than a person and they can only be moved if you palced them on your current life. I find hiding tents in stupid spots that are easy to get too are left alone the longest.

Im not complaining, Im bringing up a point that they are a waste of time. Its more efficient to just steal other peoples stuff than it is to loot your own.

I know but I just hit Cherno for a better backpack because of all the loot I am going to get if I just would manage to stay alive. Another thing it takes forever because I am crouch walking. I haven't tried running and losing Zeds yet. Well, maybe I will try your method next time.

I agree, my team tried to set up tents in different areas, all got destroyed, robbed, and vehicles got stolen. It's pretty much pointless to set up camps, there are enough server hoppers, hackers and whatsoever's who find the stuff in even less than a day.

lol no not same one. None of us died. That is, unless you killed someone else who was looting, We had a V3S, 3UAVs, Mortorcycle, Ural, Car (the crap one) and the hilux and 4 tents. The vehicles and tents were full of gear. When I got on the next day all vehicles were gone but the hilux and moto which were tipped over and the tents were run over. For some reason after the server reset the tents and some fo the vehicles came back. Just gonna use whats left and then use other peoples stuff.

Ah we only killed one guy (24/7 stationed guard im assuming), ran over 6 tents, took one ural and blew up one V3S.

Took our bus (that was stolen from us about a week ago) and drove off with our truck we found yesterday and the ural we stole and moved cross-map.

Im trying to keep large camps off our server, we usually return most vehicles down near the coast for noobs to use.

We keep one truck and the PBX boat, the rest go to the coast (usually) and any tent city larger than 3 tents gets destroyed.

Do tents bug often or something? I've setup multiple tents in varying obscure places, different servers, and they are always empty within a day. I've become so jaded by the hackers I don't know if I am legitimately losing stuff or not.

Yeah I wouldn't mind those coordinates. I had once a tent, set it up more in the middle of the map and filled it with stuff from several runs to Cherno. The next time I logged in the tent was completely empty. Still don't know if it was because of the known bug or maybe other players.

BTW, I managed to find another tent in Cherno and now I am just looking for a safe spot. Any tips regarding the "hiding" near a rock etc?
