This game + Fraps = Lag?

I have a GTX 480 with high settings for this game.I have about 30 fps but it dropped to 8 fps when I have fraps on. I want to record videos and take screenshots while in game so I just want to ask how to raise my fps whith fraps on

Running fraps is more CPU intensive, not really graphics since its not rendering anything, just saving what is already rendered.

You might want to look into other recorder options than fraps if it bogs you down that much.

I get a stable 30 when recording with fraps (and that's just because I cap it at 30). You probably have something configured weirdly in your graphics/fraps settings.

I have an i5-760 quad core and get 30 FPS when recording with FRAPS, only because I limit it to 30FPS

you need to tell us your CPU, not GPU

try recording on half size. and cap it to 30

I get 80 without recoding then it drops to 25 while recording. However, your FPS will drop at random. I had my FPS drop to 8 without FRAPS even being open.

Idk, something is odd with the graphics in this game anyway... I have a computer that ought to have zero trouble with the graphics, and I will occasionally get the "shattered glass" effect when I turn my mouse. If it gets really bad I will log out and back in on another server and that usually fixes it.

FRAPS does make things run a bit slower, but I've had issues in this game both with and without FRAPS being on.
