The nerfed pistols

So i've read many posts on here about the pistols and their damage being too low, i never used pistols as i prefer a hatchet. Today i picked up a pistol to test it out.... i found a guy, he had a lee enfield. I snuck up behind him and he didnt know I was there, He had a Czech backpack so i couldnt see his head from behind, I unload 8 bullets from a makarov into his upper back, he proceeds to turn around and shoot me as i run out the door, i come back, 8 more bullets into his upper body, HE ISNT DEAD YET. He kills me with 1 more shot, 16 shots and he isnt even dead, not knocked out, he MIGHT of been bleeding.... This needs to be addressed >.<

Because you were missing or he was hacking. it only takes about 3

Its a makarov, what did you expect. A hatchet is better and you would of been able to kill him with a hatchet if you used it.

I understand it was an arma2 patch, and lol @ the guy who said it only takes 3. But there has to be something they can do, because currently its more effective to carry 8 bandages than have a sidearm

The exact same thing happened to me, a full clip of 1911 in a player standing still looting a body in cherno.

My only conclusion was that shooting into his pack did not make contact with his body, can anyone confirm this? Can a pack stop pistol rounds?

Yes backpacks act like a light armor its been that way for months... dont ever shoot someone in thier pack unless u have a highpowered rifle.

If what Killroth said is true then that might of been it plus the fact that you might of been missing or the guy might of have had hacks.
