Hacked Guns, what are the consequences?

Joined a server that was hacked early before i joined. there was buses literally everywhere, like fixed, untouched buses, and i got in one, and it exploded, and i died. so i respawned next to cherno, and there was buses everywhere there too, sure enough i would hear explosions go off, and i would loot the dead bodies next to the buses, and then i found this one body that had a M4A3 ACOG GL, and an item called "horn." never seen this gun or heard of it, not on the wiki, nor is the horn. pretty sure it was a hacked gun. now i dont know what to do with it, and what are the consequences of picking it up. Im gonna drop the gun next time i log in, just want to say i didnt do anything wrong and i just want to know the facts about how hacked guns are handled consequence wise.

No consequences for picking it up, as long as you don't spawn things you are fine.

You should place any hacked items on a dead body and then perform the "hide body"action

keep the gun, u can't get in trouble

but you might be frowned upon by forum members

From what I understand, having a hacked gun is not bad. The problem is for those who bring in the items are are doing the hacking. A majority of the Dayz players, do not visit this forum, and many bought the game without any Arma II knowledge. This means a lot of people do not know what items are "hacked in" or are just rare etc.

If you know the weapon was hacked in ( not by you) you're only ruining your own fun?. It's up to you to keep.

Friend just got banned after we found an as50 tws on someone we killed. Do not know why he got banned and not others who also touched the body.
