Requirements of DAY Z

ok so i have been looking for a few days now on whether to buy arma 2 and try this game mod out, seems to be the best zombie apocalypse survival game in the world at the moment and thats right up my street. But i am confused on what is actually needed to play the game (arma 2 wise) Some video's on youtube claim that you only need the Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead, while others say you need the Arma 2: Combined Operations. can someone please help me out here so i dont get the wrong one.

You need both ArmA 2 AND ArmA 2:OA to play DayZ :)

so just to clarify you only need operation arrowhead? because arma 2 the game is actually free on their website right now.

Just buy Arma 2 Combined Operations from Steam for 25 bucks and you're settled. Install Arma2, start it, close, install Arma 2 add-on (contained in Combined Operations), start it, close, download SixLauncher, start as Admin, it will download all files. Done.

The free version of the game has terrible graphics. That's why it's free.

I'd assume so. I bought the pair of them a while back, only to find to my dismay my computer wouldn't run it.

Now I've got a shiny new one it actually runs it.
