zombies alive/dead [make less lag]

Recommended Posts

Hey i have a really good idea to stop lag in the servers, you know when u log into a server it has like 430/640 zombies alive/dead. Well that makes me lag pretty bad and I cant play dayz, I was playing on a server with like 34 people and i was not lagging and i was surprised. Well i looked at the zombies alive/dead count and i was near green mountain and it said 14/15 zombies alive (i killed one). Then i checked the players list and it had more people than b4 and i was like ok cool this server have the zombies load only around you not everybody on the server. Rocket could you please look at this I think that it would be a major improvement to solve a lot of lag problems. Thank you. :)

When zombies are killed the go into the ground til a server restart. That's what makes you lag, you CPU can process all the bodies fast enough.

Kinda obvious, every zombie, every player, all item spawns - its all data, that needs to go back and forth between the client/ server. The more the more stuff it needs to send, the more lag you get depending on the specs of the server.

Im talking about zombies not Items, if the server knows where u are on the map what if it only loaded the zombies around you and not someone across the map had zombies load around them and the server will not load them for you, therefore it would be less lag. If you were with another player the amount of zombies would be the same for both of you. get it
