Tally kills at the end of a session, not in-game

In a number of DayZ vids I've seen, players rely on the kill messages and murder counter to confirm when they've downed another player.

IMHO, there should be no in-game confirmation of a kill beyond the flies buzzing around. When a player saves their progress and logs out correctly (IE: not alt-f4), then their new kills are added to their profile.

Thoughts?
