Alty 0 Posted May 26, 2012 Hi guys. Back in the day my PC was good and play the latest games (quite a few years ago now). I haven't bought a new game in a while, so I'm not sure how it's going to handle these new graphics. The game looks really nice on youtube videos I see, but I'm worried that it will run terrible for me. I'd love to get some opinions!Spec:OS: Win 7CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66GHz (Dual Core)Memory: 4GBGraphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTXMy display is 2048 * 1152 which I'd ideally like to play in, but I guess I could play it with less if it will be too terrible. Thanks! rocketa 6 Posted May 26, 2012 Horribly, your GPU is worth $20 and your CPU is crap. If you want to play the game at 50+FPS I recommend you build a new PC.A good budget rig could consist of:AMD Phenom II X4 965AMD Radeon HD 68708GB DDR3 1600Mhz+ a decent 1TB 7200RPM drive. Alty 0 Posted May 26, 2012 That's unfortunate. I'm not really in the position to get a new computer any time soon, so it seems like I will have to give this mod a miss for now if it really will be that bad.
Chawrles 2 Posted May 26, 2012 Don't listen to Rocket, I had the same CPU, a regular 8800gt, and 2 gigs of ram just 2 weeks ago and I averaged 30 FPS, often times higher, depending, rarely lower. That was even at 1920x1080. You'll have to turn other stuff down, but it's definitely playable.

blergh (DayZ) 14 Posted May 26, 2012 The 8800 would probably lag at that def, you need to lower it quiet alot.
rocketa 6 Posted May 26, 2012 I just don't want OP to spend $40 on Combined Operations only to find it isn't playable and that he can hardly aim because of this.
Alty 0 Posted May 26, 2012 Thanks for the replies! I guess I wouldn't mind toning it down to 1600×900 or so. rocketa, it's true; it is quite a bit of money for taking a risk that it will be OK.I'm gunna have to think about this a bit more. Would be good to hear other people's reports who have similar spec machines.
Deadchicken (DayZ) 1 Posted May 26, 2012 I run on Dual Core 2.5Ghz, 4GB RAM, and twin 8800 GTXs with this game at 1920x1200, and most settings are low-normal, and it runs fine.I wouldn't was you to miss out on this mod so I thought I'd let you know you're not the only one with an old computer, I've had a little trouble with FPS now and then but I'm pretty sure it can be attributed to the server performance issues of the penultimate patch. Gungy 4 Posted May 26, 2012 Download Arma II lite, if you can run any all the training missions with fps of 50+ chances of the mod running at 30+ are good.
Alty 0 Posted May 26, 2012 Great idea! I'll do that now :)

You get the performance you pay for, 7770 might run Arma2 on med though.
