What do I gain by fixing hull of a vehicle?

Recommended Posts

I know that fixing engine will prevent explosions, new tires make it go faster and repairing the tank slows down fuel loss. What do I gain by repairing the hull?

You will avoid your vehicle becoming a smouldering wreck when you inevitably bump into something.

So it works the same way as the engine?

I believe so. All I know is that me and my friend repaired a vehicle, thought "Hey, it's running fine what do we need this scrap metal for?" Then about five minutes later, I turned off the engine and let the vehicle roll to a stop outside of Stary when I bumped into a tree going around 3 km/hr. Hull immediately went red, and the truck wouldn't start. So using scrap metal is one of those, "better safe than sorry" deals.

Hull stops it blowing up

Engine keeps it moving. If it gets too red it will cut out.
