Hackers killed the server in AU 1

Around half an hour ago. Everyone dropped dead. I tried to alt+f4 out as this was by far the furthest I'd been into the game, but when I went back into the server, I was a new spawn on the beach. I quit in frustration, but later switched to a new server. I spawned half-in/half-out of a building far in the north, in the general area I had been before being killed, only without any of my gear.

Just letting everyone know.

Yeah, this has been ongoing for some time. Most of the Australian clans including the one I am from, are playing on low ping 'US' servers because of this.

It's a shame that developers are so restricted ... does anybody know if its the mod that's easily hackable or the ARMA 2 client?

The hacking got so bad on aussie/nz servers that I barely leave the coast now.

People have the ability to use scripts and i don't believe rocket can do anything about it because he dose not have full control of the Arma engine, so as long as people can add scripts i can see this going on for a while. Edited August 7, 2012 by Jrae
