its rather random if you lose it or not. just yesterday i put on a camo without losing my alicepack. last week it got reverted to a 16 slot

Think its the hive data that's currently saved so it can give you an older backpack back if you updated it/ items in the backpack just before.

Actually I dropped my BP before wearing my ghillie suit and then it got duplicated (the one I dropped, and one on my back again after I wore the ghillie suit). It is random I guess.
