Sykik 0 Posted May 26, 2012 Hi,Some players find a location where loot spawns and simply disconnect and reconnect different servers, eventually getting good loot. I have a simple fix, delete all loot within a small radius of spawn point. This stops this exploit.Just a thought,Sykik
davidcastle 19 Posted May 26, 2012 Loot already deletes in a small radius of spawn point... people just run 300 meters out of balota to hop.
Tigxr 0 Posted May 26, 2012 I can't imagine a possible fix to this. Maybe a client loot load time, but besides that would not even work. Individual servers can't monitor people if they change servers so I guess we are stuck tell a genius solution is made. It does get irritating finding people with loads of stuff knowing they just glitched for it.
Guest Posted May 26, 2012 TBH not much big of an issue, they are just wasting their time and are going to end up dying anyway, giving out the loot to some bandit.
E-Z 25 Posted May 26, 2012 Takes too long anyway, let them do it, in the end They are the losers
tolya 1 Posted May 26, 2012 I must admit I did it once. Because I've been trying to find a daylight server and jumped into a few night times, because there was no info on in-game time displayed on the server list (that would come in handy). And since I was in a barn I did checked every place. Didn't find much and was killed by zeds later anyway, so...Nah, leave server farmers to their fates. An extra can of beans doesn't give you a winning edge. Your brain does. Rico (DayZ) 99 Posted May 26, 2012 A possible solution…If you char is in a server you can't change server until 10 minute, if u change server the system recognized u have changed, and your character will die.

Rico (DayZ) 99 Posted May 26, 2012 What if the server crashes' date=' lags to mad or I simply joined the wrong server?[/quote']Wait until the central server countdown of ten min is not ended, and you can change server.
Ungotter 2 Posted May 26, 2012 What if the server crashes' date=' lags to mad or I simply joined the wrong server?[/quote']Wait until the central server countdown of ten min is not ended, and you can change server. So if I joined a server, for a few seconds, then my game might crash. Or perhaps even the server I have to wait a further ten minutes to join another server? That's bad policy and will drive people away quickly.

pantsumann 0 Posted May 26, 2012 Sounds bad. What if your buddys wanna play with you and some cant connect because "waiting for server response/character to create"? Ofc you server hop to be able to play with your buddys, but no, theres a 10 min limit. Thats no good. Too many downsides to add that limit just because some noob is hunting for cans of beans in a barn. And people farming the airfields? Sure, the dude got a nice weapon and 2 mags. Still takes a cheap lee enfield and one bullet to end his life. I shot a dude on a roof about 270m away with the lee enfield. One shot one kill is all you need to end the farmers.
