Rangefinder

I cant get the rangefinder to activate. Its in my inventory but how do I activate it? Tried looking briefly on youtube also but no go.

It won't necessarily work if you have both the Rangefinder and Binoculars equipped. Throw away your binocs before using it, by pressing B (or whatever key you've mapped for Binoculars)

exactly. they have to be in the same spot as the binoculars! so you have to throw them away and then equipe the rangefinder. it will not work if the rangefinder is in the spot where the NVGoggles should be!

also, rangefinder has a built-in nightvision. press N to switch it on while looking down

hmm you cant equip rangefinder and binoculars at the same time. one or another. B key uses both of them

Ah yes! I had to throw the binoculars in the bag. Night vision on them works as well.
