Jukez 44 Posted August 7, 2012 (edited) My Dayz commander says my game is 95417 but when I go to a server it says bad version and then on the lower left it says my versions 95248, any fixes for this?I suppose you are running arma with Commander and steam overlay option. Go to Commander options, and select the option that it replaces the beta exe automatically. Then update the beta from Commander versions tab.Or try running arma without steam overlay in Commander. The thing that's propably wrong is, that you have the beta installed (as Commander tells you) but commander doen't actually run the beta, since you have a wrong .exe in OA folder. Jukez 44 Posted August 7, 2012 (edited) Oh it's you again :)Don't follow my last post, but do this:Go to the ...\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta -folder, and copy the OA.exe file from there to the location:..\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Commander updates that file automatically when you update using it (if the option is enabled of course). Now you need to do it manually, since you reverted manually.Edit. Or you can try this too: "Or try running arma without steam overlay in Commander."Edit2. When steam overlay is enabled in Commander, it runs arma2 from \arma 2 operation arrowhead -folder, since this is the only way to get the steam overlay working. And beta .exe must be copied to this folder, when steam overlay is used.If you don't use steam overlay, Commander will run arma from \arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta -folder directly. 25Uniform 1 Posted August 7, 2012 It seems that playing without steam overlay fixes the problem, they both now says 95417.but in the future if I wanted to use the overlay, how would I go about this?when you say update the beta do you mean update arma 2 or Dayz?cant update arma 2 because of the newer version being fixed and no one using that version cause of the bugs. Jukez 44 Posted August 7, 2012 Btw made a suggestion to Commander thread for adding the option to revert patches using it. Would remove the hassle :)
