Major death delay and delayed movement between players

This is something I've noticed a lot while playing DayZ. I've sat two computers next to each other and viewed how on one screen the player would stop and it would take 1-2 seconds for the other game to do the same. I've seen this on multiple servers and on different connections.

Additionally, sometimes players would randomly run into walls continuously and disappear and suddenly show up again.

As for the zombies it always takes a second or two for them to die after being shot multiple times, this also applies to players.

Here is an example how this effects gameplay:

I shoot player in face 8 times, nothing happens, a second later we're both dead.

Smooth gameplay should be a high priority for the developers.

yup i've noticing it getting even worse of late even on good ping servers. It makes zombies very frustrating as they catch and whale on you even thouhg you've emptied an entire clip inot them, even their heads.

Ive noticed this to, but its always been so. Takes like a extra sec for a zombie to drop.

But this is more a fix for beta, than alpha. Its not game breaking. But clearly due to, latency.

this is really frustrating

yesterday i saw a bandit running and followed him. waited tioll he stopped. came close to him from behind and shot 5 times (3 in head 2 in his back) he was still standing. second later he continued running and stopped like 5 meters away. i came close again and shot 6 times again. 1 sec later he disappeared and appeared like 2 meters away and he was looking at me.. he shot 2 times and i was dead. that is so fucking frustrating

ping was 13. if it is not low ping i don't know what is

I have this issue from time to time. But it's not that bad. It could possibly be your connection to the servers.
