Hacking? ...or Admin Abuse??

I honestly do not remember what server I was on but I was, and still have been a little concerned.

So I had just died and respawned near Elektro and went to check out the Fire Station, when I came up over the Hill I was shot, no biggie, I can go back.

So I go back this time, around the power plant and I`m in the Fire Station, then I hear something over Direct Com. the guy tells me to come out so I do, being as polite as possible

B) cuz why not

Then out of nowhere I get a 50. Cal and he begins accusing me of hacking O.o

I was super confused xD so I just kept talking to him and stuff, then he says I bet you can spawn a truck or something then a truck spawns and I get kicked...

It was my first real BIG hacker confrontation so it scared me a bit since I couldn`t join any severs for a while after because I kept gettting kicked for some reason.

But I was wondering was this Hacks? (well obviously it was) Or a possible admin abuse? I mean I did get kicked as soon as that happened so I don`t know maybe I`m still paranoid ^_^

Okay to be honest what it sounds like you're dealing with here is a hacker admin.

But it might not have been, the RCon passwords for several hundred servers were compromised and leaked on the internet a couple days ago. Not all the servers have updated.

So its possible you were just dealing with a hacker on a server where he had the RCon password, because whoever runs it hasn't changed their pass yet.

Overall it could be one, or the other.

knowing this engine arma runs on a little id say the following happened

he spawned the shit in your clients name(id) so battleye thought you spawned it and kicked you, its probably possible on this engine as anything is possible, if it was just a kick it could be that battleye recognized something fishy was going on with your client and just kicked you, as long as it isnt a ban your alright and you should probably just alt-f4 if shit like that happens the next time.

but yeah, im not saying that happened, im just saying it could be possible

I think your right, its seems to be the most possible thing, and since Battleye caught something fishy, it would explain the other kicks.

He was spawning items into my inventory and basically me spawning them so yeah...

wow, i actually have the possibility of being right lol :D

well its the only way i can see it possible, and the way he was like, ohh you must be a hacker and then spawning items in your "name" i srsly doubt it could have been any other way but hey who knows.

Battleye is working wonders, it really does know how to seperate hackers and players perfect, btw that was irony lol.

I cant remember if i have at any point seen an anti-cheat that works, PB doesnt even do a good job and you most likely have to spend more time fixing that program by yourself than you do with any other, if something is wrong with BE, your fucked basically lol.

but yeah, hackers be trolling and should be removed soon, from the game and earth.
