What weapon loadout do you have? (Hi-Tech)

Yay! I finally managed to find an L85A2.

But It surely makes a better sniper rifle than it does assault weapon, it's gotta be useless for close-quarters-combat.

So I've gone for M4A3 CCO SD, for cqc and l85A2 for sniping/spotting. Is there any downside to using SD stannag mags for the L85 reather than non-SD?

What do some of you guy's have?

SD Mags are far less accurate, don't use them.

L85A2 is actually pretty bad if u want to use it as a sniper rifle (aim unreliable after 300 m mark)

Using SD mags makes shots pretty much silent for zombies, but is still heard as a normal shot (non silenced) by players.

Myself, ive got M4A1 CCO SD and AS50 in backpack (switching to fn fal pvs 4 at night time - <3 my stock)

Mk 48 Mod 0 - PvP/Out of Hand PvE

M9 SD - General PvE

Mk 48 has 600m reliability as well as the ability to put 100 rounds in the air and only needing 1 to hit for a kill. I'm happy with my choice.

By M4A3 you meant M4A1 right? There isn't a legit SD version of M4A3 in Day Z. L85A2 is quite poor for sniping due to its short effective range, it's technically just another assault rifle.

Oh, yes I mean A1, I've just been using the A3 for so long.

But I think I'll have to use it (L85) as a sniper because on a non-CH server it's no use up close, but then I can't have another sniper rifle for the same reason.

I guess it will be better for me to get bored of the novelty value of infa-red and then replace the L85 with a 'proper' sniper rifle.
