my as50 wasnt 1 shot kill? ;'(

Recommended Posts

i recorded it uploading later, tomorrow vacation, but maybe it was lagg.

i shot on a dude but i didnt see if i hit him because he was running and i was spraying, and then i stopped shooting for like 15 sec (i guess he passed out and bleeding) and then after the 15 sec it said that he died and i got murder +1.

not sure if it was lagg for like 15 seconds, or he bleed out after 15 seconds after i shot him.

i had it where i shot a guy in the leg he broke his leg then i had to shoot him in the chest just to kill him, the gun is suppose to do like 34k dmg but doesnt seem to when you hit someone in certain places

It's hit detection, this game is mostly client side. That's why hit detection in this game is awful.

Client side hit detection means if you shoot someone on your screen, he gets hit, regardless of where he actually is in the game (in instances of lag, for example). That would be a boon to hit detection, if anything.

Sometimes it takes time to register the kill. I've shot a person dead and didn't get the murder, but as I was looting the body, I got the murder. Also, you probably grazed their arm or leg or something. That could explain the delay.

There is no better or worse with client vs server side hit detection, its up to the developer which they prefer. They both have pros and cons.

Personally I prefer server side, I'd rather have to aim a couple of inches ahead on moving targets than get my ass shot off after taking cover because it hadn't registered with the other guy yet.
