harr0w 3 Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) 1. food & water lvls are basically decreasing rapidly at the moment not sure if intended or bugged from last update. i think they should be more in-line with reality or close to anyway. water canteens should have a lvl like the ammo (2x use then refill for example) food should last i damn sight longer than five minutes (20/30 mins)2. zombie life-cycle cant come soon enough. undead mike Tyson`s all over the place.3. some of the weapon nerfs like the 45. m1911 - 4 shots to kill pretty much anything are you kidding me.2 at max4. i will like to see a completely reworked inventory screen as arma 2`s is currently so buggy i never know weather its going to work or not.(items and weapons eaten all the time)5. empty JD bottles + petrol stations = fire bombs. these should have and area affect as well.6. more subtle abilities ( crafting arrows, staves, traps clothing etc. different trees/materials/animals for different crafting items)7. more types of weather.8. different appearance of zombies missing arms, legs and bleeds wounds possibly tied into the zombie life-cycle.9. increase in map size 500/1000km sq please and another map or a giant urban capital city environment added to chernarus10. guille suits should give a bonus to the players visibility against zombies at least11.group party/clan system as mentioned should be tied into the player bunkers so if people want to join/get killed or leave for some reason they can spawn at the group/clan bunker12.random spawns should be incorporated for new players for added tension13. more skins for clothing etc. and appearance.14. arrows should be retrievable from the dead. and a quiver as well for holding arrows15. bivouac`s should be an option if you cant find a tent, but have a set life span..16. once bunkers are introduced maybe they can be joined together to form bigger complexes/communities/outposts even trading hubs so to speak.17. ideas for currency = ammo - food - grown food- batteries - vehicle parts ( the idea of a set currency seems unlikely to much available for trade unless industry is established but that going beyond the tenets of the game i think)18. command buttons for people without mic`s i.e.. don't shoot. are you friendly . help me etc etc.19. more melee weapons. axe. machete. clever, hammer.20. afew more firearms would be nice. and a hunting bow21. the ability to bind and take prisoners22. wire cutters need adding to toolbelt.23. add tripwire. in conjunction with flares you can create early warning devices.24. audio & visual hallucinations caused by severe lack of food and water. this could be the final stage before blood decreases.25. stopping griefing in the cities. the longer you stay in the city areas the more chance of catching the infection due to the high number of deaths that would occur in such areas with a situation like this. that's the first part, then introduce three different coloured antibiotics( very rare) that need to be taken in combination to cure the infection. or quick deterioration sets in followed by death, followed by reanimation ( AI zombie of course)26. visible bandages on injured players27. cannibalism (but at cost of possible/inevitable illness)28. zombies should eat corpses and are attracted to dead bodies. much in the same way the hang round crash sites. (smirics post idea)29. more random rare instances i.e crashed heli, slaughtered science teams, multi vehicle pile-ups just to add to the narrative (nathiesk post idea)30. bandit indication should remain subtle like the heart beat or be shown in a more realistic manner other than having a mask on. (sratches on the face, dirty clothing slighty more militaristic appearance but not silly big masks. good inspiration would be t he film the road.31.general opinion there should be hordes definitely 32..thank the bean king the standalone is on its way. A Metal Viking 18 Posted August 6, 2012 Ya most of what is above should and probably will go into standalone as the games engine is limiting what they can do, its not their fault :LBut Rocket has said in many interviews including one a few days ago that he sees no reason why it cant come out "this September earliest". STimroth 7 Posted August 6, 2012 if you look closely after firing a bolt into a zombie its always in the body, the trick is you have to get your aim right on it to pick it up. quiver yes i agree. I disagree on the power of the guns. In my opinion, he is trying to make them more like zombies, if you dont shoot them in the head they dont die as easily. Now I'm sure the engine wasn't designed with this in mind, so you get harder to kill players as well. Atleast in my experience everything is harder to kill now. I don't mind the zombies so much cuase they are zombies. Everything else you said was good suggestions, probably not all able to be implemented with current mod, but good ideas.
