GFX difference between arma II free and arma II retail

Can anyone provide me with some comparisons between the gfx within DayZ with Arma II free and Arma II Retail?

Just want to check if ill buy the retail version now just for the gfx update.

I think it's well worth the full version. There's a massive difference in texture quality for most of the map including roads, signs, buildings and so on. Also many of the weapons will have low res textures using the free version too. if you want the full experience you can get the PMC and BAF add-onns too. It adds a high res texture to the basic survivor skin and some of the Britich weapons like the AS50.

That vid is ok but you can't see the full effect because it's not in HD. Like I say, I think it's well worth it for the full experience.

A lot of people that complain about DayZ graphics looking dated are running Arma 2 lite or have their settings turned down. If you can run the full version at decent settings the graphics are plain awesome.

i have thought about getting PMC, but decided not to because It will be waste of money when DayZ goes standalone (at least for me as I am here just for dayz for now)
