Not seeing as much activity recently as there used to be. Reason for this?

You refer to the forum or to the players in last 24 hours? Cause the latter is pretty much constant. Though the huge increase of people playing the game seems to have gone down somewhat, not entirely sure though. It looks rather constant now.

It may also be that there are simply more servers, resulting in less players / server.

i think its the rampant cheating and duping, which both destroys the whole atmosphere of dayZ

It's at the time just like any other arcade shooter

Once you find a tent that has duped stuff in or is glitched like all tents (not updated, take anything in there, server restart the tent is full again) you are requipped and can go on a rampage, theres people all over the place running around with L85+AS50 with nato ammo, because of duping, and unlimited ammo relogging

also, hackers bring guns into the game, once a hacker was killed, congratz, you have now a AS50 or M107 with thermal which you can dupe as much as you want, and its even legal and not to track with battleye or server logs

balance is so off these days, i dont even know how to start with it because of the two reasons given above
