We already can find entrenching tool so how about a possibility to dig a hole in ground and bury some loot for later?

Yup, Saves it to the server like a tent and X marks the spot. can only store 1 item per dig though

Rocket stated an idea that in the stand alone there is a very high chance of underground Bunkers being used in the game.

Thats as close you will get, if not better. As for DayZ mod I'm not sure.
