This is my ACOG, there are many like it but this one is mine.

I don't think the OP is crazy at all. While the L85 excels at one thing, the ACOG excels at many things. Great weapon for scouting on the move, good range, good damage, great optics, and it'll actually hit what you aim at, unlike the L85.

When I was last faced with choosing between L85 and ACOG I regretted leaving my ACOG behind.

Let somebody else in the squad carry the L85. Keep your AS50 for sniping and the ACOG for when you have to move.
