Good evening Survivors and Bandits (It's in the evening here - deal with it B))

With the 1,000,000 unique player count just around the corner, I'd just like to announce that I, Rammfisch, will be creating a full blown survival guide designed for beginners AND more experienced players. In case you don't care enough to read on, just know that I will be working on it along with a few friends to create this masterpiece in literature :P.

Updates on how it's going along will be added to the thread as I go along. It won't be some 1 page load of garbage explaining that you need to eat & drink to survive, and how to pull the trigger. I plan on working on this for a few weeks give or take to make it as pristine as possible. It will cover pretty much everything, and I'm open to suggestions on what to add etc. - Help from the community is essential!

The survival guide will be set up in a PDF format (not some shitty word doc) and will contain chapters on all the essential things to know. I'm not some noob with little to none experience with the mod, or even the actual game ArmA 2. I have played ArmA 2 from release and I began playing DayZ back in the days of when you started out with the .45 revolver, so hopefully that gives some credibility.

Anyway, so far whats going to be in the guide will be as follows:

- Spawn positions and where best to go from there including that position on the map (image will be including).

- Basic spawn positions for all the essentials in the starting towns (image will be included)

- How the zombie's... Operate. (movements, view/hear distances etc.)

- How to stay alive concerning other survivors (or god forbid - Bandits) - Can't really guarantee success on this one though.

- Advanced, in-depth analysis on weapons and projectile ballistics.

- Weapon spawn chances in certain buildings (image will be included)

- How to navigate with & without basic navigation gear.

- Where to go for what reasons.

- Vehicle repairing, finding and driving/piloting walkthroughs as well as emergency procedures.

- How to shoot (this may sound stupid, but many people don't understand how a lot of the open sights/scopes work).

- How to conserve necessities (ammo, food, water & med suplpies)

- What different symbols mean - how to fix them, how the basic game operates (inventory etc.)

Obviously much more will be added and I'm open to any criticism and suggestions. I'm not looking for any hate comments and it is not necessary as this is just a little free addition to everyone in the DayZ community.
