My story and why people kill too much.

When I first started. The most fun I had was finding a random guy in elektro. Teaming up. Finding a guy with broken leg. Defending church from highly armed bandits. To save the guy with the broken leg. We end up dying. But that is a one of a million experience. And since I had it when i started the game. I started to like dayz.

When I joined my first group. Me and 1 other guy were planning to go to cherno. To get some medical supplies and bring them to camp. We started moving out when 1 guy joined us. They had to get to camp to rearm. I stayed in zeleno supermarket killing zed. Then 1 more guy joined us. So we started from zeleno on our adventure to cherno!

We had some near death experiences on the way. As zombies knocked us out and made us bleed. When we got to Cherno. We met up with 3 more guys. We were holed up in the supermarket. There was confusion everywhere. But it was still fun. We had a nice group. No one was shy. Everyone was happy. 2 of us. Inculding me went to look for supplies. We came back with 10 bloodbags 5 morphine 5 epis. and a bunch of bandages. We started moving back to camp. This 1 trip we had planned to take 30 minutes. Took us 3 hours and 30 minutes. Because we picked up our teammates. But we had so much fun. It's really good to play with a good group.

Then later. I teamed up with 1 of the guys from my group. He was very experienced. We went to nw airfield. I was shot at 3 times. Killed 2 guys.

Somehow we ended up in the warehouse. Trying to save our buttocks. We were running out of ammo and blood AND BANDAGES!! With my last bandage. I decided to pick my hatchet to save ammo and to be silent. I was shot at like 5 minutes ago. So there are 2 zombies coming our way. I pick up my hatchet. I whack the 1st zombie. But somehow he manages to make me bleed. Dropping my blood to 2000 before i could bandage - there goes my last bandage! With no fear of bad things happening to me, I rush the final zombie. Hit him in the head, but before he dies he manages to scratch me. I start to bleed again. I ask my friend " Do you gots dem bandages? OMG!!!" He replyies "No, are you bleeding again" I start to panic and scream "YES OH MY GOOOOD !!! I AM GOING TO DIE" I yell and run around like a lunatic who really thinks he is going to die. My friend is laughing so hard over the mic. I quickly run down the catwalk to look dead zombies for some bandages, still yelling "I am gonna die!! helppp!!! find me bandages omgz" Finally I find a bandage on a zombie. I put it on and end up with 300 blood. With my life saved, my friend in laugh tears, I am relived and start to walk back up the catw...

I fall unconcious because that's what I do when I see blood.

I decide to stay in the warehouse. Because I felt very dizzy and kept losing conciousness. My friend sets out into the cruel NW airfield to look for some cows for me. When he gets chaced by zombies. He ran back into the warehouse For me to help him kill the zombies. This went on for about 10 minutes. until we realised I am still probobly going to die! Because there was only 1 chiken in the airfield.

Desperate and getting hungry. I leave the warehouse running thrugh a forest onto a field East of the nw airfield. I start looking for cows and llamas. OHH my JOY. When i spot a COw about 600 meters East of the forest. I call my friend to me. We are as happy as a kid who just got his first erection!! We gut up the cow and have a small party. And ohh our suprise when we find a llama and a goat and another cow! we soon fill up our blood and leave.

The cool gorup i was in was ran by 14 year old and he banned everoyne off teamspeak and I was unable to reach anyone so there goes all the cool playrs.

Then i played solo some tiem. Got into antoehr group. But its not that much fun. We had fun traveling with a bus and crashing it and looking for car wheels around gorka. Then we got bored of running thrugh the forests looking for tents and more cars. And we went to cherno and elektro to kill people about 3-5 times a week.

That was basically the only way we could have fun. Already having all the weapons in our camp. We had cars but we soon lost them. ATV's we flipped or crashed or lost. our base was found. everything compromised people started to quit. Since they stopped having fun in dayz. I had my longest life in dayz 6 days. I had 900 zobmie kills and thought we should go to cherno to celebrate with the last remaining people online. I reacherd 1000 zombie kills and took a bullet of an CZ in the head. Well played by the sniper who got me when i was looking at the map. he was pretty patient. 1 shot 1 hs kill takes time. I died happy man with 1000 zombie kills. Then i spawne in elektro. found 1 guy who was friendly and teamed up with him. We had somone with an m16 shoot at as from the hill and we found antoher friendly survivor. 3 of us - me with makarov - 1 guy with lee and 1 guy wht double barrle shotgun. Stormed the guy with m16 and ghillie. He looked right at me when i shot him with my toy gun. He started running away from 3 noobs with crappy guns. he ran behind a fence and dc. That was such and adrenaline rush and so much fun. That i decided not to quit dayz. While most of my clanmates didn't have such experiences they quit.

I was traveling to cherno alone and found a survivor near kamenka. I ask him what's up. he says he is going to balota. He had an zombie model so i play some tricks on him! I ask him if he is infected, i say stay away ur a zombie. he says " Would i run past you if i was a zombie." I say "You were coming for me!! YOU SMELL MY BEANS!!" And i shoot him in the legs. And bandage him! He was so mad and said i am an asshole. I burst out laughing!! i look at him as he keeps crawling for about 100 meters. Then I drop my gun take the axe and run at him screaming and hatchet him up!! That was kinda fun!!

Now me and 1 last clanmate went to chenro to kil noobs. WE laughed at their attempt to runaway from an as50 and l85. Or as they try to crawl past zomibes and we shot them instead.

Is this what fun is?? Shooting noobs and laughing at their stupidity?

I didn't get killed much as a noob. Since I am a quick learner and was already familiar with arma 2. I quickly learned item spawns and I already knew the map.

So my conclusion is - People look for best guns in dayz. and when they get their guns they have nothing else to do. Since there is no goals, no endgame, no quests/missions. So they find that the best thing to do is just killing people. Which feels good, because being better than someone else is always good. Winning in sports gives us the same feeling. Killing people in cod gives us the same feeling. And this is how we turn into ego maniacs.

Which is why the world needs to be infinitily harder. Zombies as they are currently just annoy. They do not have a challenge whatsoever. Hence hunting players becomes the challenge. Rocket is well aware of this as he is extremely switched on with his game design theories. I spend a lot of time watching him in interviews. Have faith in the Rocket. He knows his shit and will deliver something unbelievable at the end of this journey.

Nice story man. Too bad you are going noob pvp:ing ;). There is a lot of pvp in all the major cities and at the NW airfield though, at times, on the right servers...

That would be good! Currently one of the biggest problems is item duplicating and infinte ammo(relog)

It seems that relogging and converting ammo is going to be fixed. But i think tents should auto-save
