ruinsthemood 1 Posted August 6, 2012 So I was wandering near Electro grocery/power plant and logged out yesterday, just with an ALICE, lotta food, drink, winchester, few set of shells, etc.I log into US 583 about 30 minutes ago and hear and see the first helicopter I've seen in game (and I've played probably around 50 hours of Day Z, starting back around early June I think).It seems to be flying right at me as I pop in. Player named Grim apparently was flying it. As it gets directly over me, I see it bank backwards as if they spotted me and were going to back up and line up a shot. Admittedly, I disconnected because I'm not a bandit and I didn't feel like dying 3 seconds into a login.I waited about 5 minutes and relogged, hoping the heli went to Cherno or something. I headed over to the power plant to check for supplies, and I got to the stairs to find it barricaded with sandbags and wire. I sighed and headed across the street to go on an adventure northward when I hear the helicopter approach again. I make a beeline for the trees and watch for it.It is here I noticed about five tents surrounding the power plant in seemingly random locations. The helicopter stops above the power plant and hovers. I fire off a mag and a half of winchester for fun at it, assuming they are going to cut me down any second. Nothing happens. The helicopter then begins to bank around the plant and looks like it is intending to land on the roof.The chopper then gets very wobbly, swaying back and forth before regaining composure near the ground, where I see a man jump out and start running (attracting zombies). I hide in the bush near some trees and wait for about 20 seconds as I hear the chopper whine get lounder until...BANGThe chopper hits the trees near me and explodes. I was pretty amazed, and booked from the crash site into the power plant. As I get in, a SECOND chopper starts hover, and this one looks way more competent. I creep into a small shack-like building on the power plant grounds and get an eye on the helo with third person around a corner. The chopper spins around, and I am cut down in one burst through the wall.I respawn in Otmel and book it towards my body. I notice that my graphics suddenly look strange. As I near Electro, I notice it seems that ALL OF ELECTRO is one big fire. I make my way to my body, admiring the strange firestorm lights that apparently engulfed Electro.
