My Christmas moment was the first time I found a ghillie suit and a DMR together, but that pales in comparison to my friend's recent find.

He was going to the NWAF solo when he found some dude's badly hidden tent with a fully functional dirtbike next to it. He took the dirtbike and also the M4A1 Camo SD, ghillie suit, NVGs, rangefinder, and GPS that were in the tent. I believe he left the guy some AK ammo and sardines for his trouble.

I can only imagine how enraged that guy was, but it's his fault for leaving the tent in such an obvious place.

In cherno I found some random dead guy with a ghillie, an SVD camo, a PDW, a range finder and some other crazy stuff, I got really paranoid after I looted him (didn't want to be killed and lose that crazy stuff), so I sat in a room with the door closed for 15 minutes (to ensure the HIVE had saved the gear) and then logged out. That character died eventually unfortunately, but I found a silenced mp5 in a building in cherno today which was cool ^^

Getting a bandage just outside of Novy Sobor.

Running from three zeds and came out of a bush smack bang into a deerstand , got swiped and dodged around a few trees , watching my blood drop and could not get into my gear as i now had five on me. Ran for about another 30 seconds and lost the zeds. Open gear..no fucking bandage..what a loser. 8000 blood boo. Turn around and sprint back to the barn complex just outside of Novy, aggro all of the zeds i just lost , first barn..no..2nd barn i am at 4000 and starting to get the shakes on, pasty screen, no bandage..c'mon c'mon c'mon..house near the barn , bolt in..bandage amongst some ammo. 3200 blood. Best loot i ever got.

Next best would have been outrunning a bunch of guys taking pot shots at me up n/e of Berezino in the forest, running like mad through the woods, sniper and sub bullets pinging around me, dudes calling out over direct at me and each other. Ran for a few minutes, did a loop then stumbled on what must have been their tent..nvgs, rangefinders, gps,as50,dmr,cooked meat etc. Munged the meat , popped a coke took the goodies and left them my ak. I wanted to build a fire near the tent for them but didn't want to push my luck :) Still running at the moment with this guy who survived both of the above. The bandage incident was about two hours later.

Actually, ignore my ghillie + DMR moment in my prior post, my Christmas moment actually happened just last night...

It was after finding the ghillie and DMR that I went to the NWAF with a friend on a night server, and he'd just logged out for the night. I'd found a pretty nice gun at the barracks (M4A1 CCO) and stuck it in my backpack to replace the Remington w/ flashlight I was keeping for CQ, but I decided I wasn't done yet so I went to do some heli hunting. I didn't find anything at the first heli, but I really wanted some NVGs so I thought I'd camp the spot and kill pilot zombies while nobody was around.

Unfortunately I was really tired and caught up in what I was doing so I didn't realise how much time had passed, nor had I been paying attention to my UI, so I didn't notice my hunger warning was flashing and my blood was going down. I ran off until I found a sheep and I shot it, only to realise I'd not got any matches, so I started running for the nearest sign of civilisation (which at this point was Novy Sobor). At the rate my blood was running out from hunger I knew that was going to be the place I died, so I ran in to the farm house and almost wept with joy when the first loot pile I came across contained a can of sardines.

I've never been so excited to eat a virtual can of sardines in my life, I hate sardines. That was the best Christmas present ever.

It's just a shame I died the next time I decided to play, a pilot zombie broke my legs and knocked me out. :(

Getting the jump on a guy who trapped the entrance to a control tower with wire by entering from the ladder. He was loaded with everything except a .50 cal. My friend backed the jeep up to the front door and loaded it all in.

When me and a buddy got dropped to around 2k blood and managed to find a quad bike, riding it for about 15 mins we took a look inside and found;

Yesterday while running in the woods on the west side of the map my group came across a fully functional loaded up old hatchback and a tractor. We rode that old hatchback all over the map looting everything we could find while looking for a helicopter. This morning we logged in to our safely parked car and continued the search for a chopper. We came across a bunch of empty tents until on a little island we found three boats and a tent full of military gear. After taking the boat for a spin and raiding and murdering in Cherno we went back to the island to drop the boat off for the guys we stole it from, only to find three of them looking in their tent, probably in disbelief that their M14 AIM and M24 were gone. We dropped two and the third DC'd but I have a SAW now :D

Died to a hacker that had some crazy power to snipe with an ak at almost 300m killing me and a sqaudmate before we could react, apon respawn in kamenka we found a fully functional bus on the road filled with gas and some bizons.

After some driving through cherno honking and some side of road shootouts we came across a tractor. Now with a tractor and bus we head to through elektro, me driving the bus and a mate in back and the guy driving the tractor was killed shortly beforehand. As we reach Balota med tents i spot a little red car on the road it belonged to 2 guys looting the camp so my buddy jumps out and jacks it. Later we find out it was stashed with a bunch of supplies. And high tier gear including an m4 camo SD.

That or recently i had another hack encounter with my squad, all tp'd to the ocean to be killed. After aborting i joined a diff server on the coast near rog castle and after raiding rogs headed straight south and came across a 10 tent camp filled with everything my squad would ever want: 3 as50's, almost 5 L85 AWS, 6 ghillies, enough nvg's and rangefinders for all. We were pretty well geared after that find.
