lucas78 0 Posted May 25, 2012 You know, I'm still moving my first steps in this fantastic mod, but as a lover of ArmA, sandbox-style MMOs etc. I really hope that, as the mod progresses, the developer(s) will keep it true to its roots: yes, there might be enhancements to the interface and other "quality of life" improvements to make the gameplay experience even better. But please, don't use easy shortcuts just to reach out to a wider audience. One great aspect of this game, probably the most interesting to me, it's the reason/logic vs. survival instinct that puts you in, and how it can make you really feel like you are in a "real" situation (not, still have to experience an apocalypse zombie invasion in my life, but maybe I will, someday :P), which, after all, is one of the strong points of Arma too, right? So, while developing new features, it would be great if you always strive to keep that logic vs. survival instinct intact: let us actively think about what we're doing and the consequences of our actions. Don't let our judgment and situation awareness be hampered by what I could consider "gamey" additions.
Bandit Hunter 29 Posted May 25, 2012 In Rocket's interviews, it seems he has the same viewpoint as you. He also considers it more of an experiment than a game. I would not worry about "easyfication" anytime soon.
