Where is everyone?

The past few days I have been playing on highly populated servers and I have only seen about 3 people up north (NW airfield and Starry). My question is where have all the players that used to loot these places gone? Are they all just hanging out on the coast fighting, or are deerstands really that good? Its hard to be a bandit when the places I thought where hotspots stop getting looted.

The graphics corruption from the soldier corpses has pushed them down towards the coast where they spend their time sniping/countersniping each other while taking potshots at fresh respawns.

Once you can go to nwaf or stary without a cubist monstrosity taking over your screen the action will shift back up north.

Some of it is probably due to the hacking as well. Why spend time heading north to gear up when you're just going to lose all of it next time a hacker logs into the server? Just deathmatch on the coast for now, reduces your investment and consequential loss.

That makes alot of sense. I guess im just gonna lay low up in the woods until shit starts to get real again.
