Suggestion:fix ability for clients to execute scripts

Recommended Posts

The tl;dr version goes like this:

- i took my time got nicely fucking geared over a few days.

- running in the middle of nowhere got teleported to a beach with a ton of other people.

- everyone instakilled, no gunfire, grenades, ebola infections etc.

- 3 days gametime wasted.

Congrats to the hackers. Well played on finding a fun(for them) exploit in game.

Dayz programmers need to either fix this wide open script vulnerability or kill this once-awesome mod.

Nice suggestion....

Keep on playing...BattlEye and Dayz needs your gaming data to improve the game.

Why would they end the mod?

They can't really fix the scipt stuff as a thousand other people have said the ARMA 2 engine was built for modding in mind, most ARMA 2 servers are locked and need a password to play, as Rocket wants all servers open to prevent servers just farming loot it leaves the servers open to 'hacking'.

I don't see why BI can't add an option to the server.cfg that disables/enables scripts being executed by the client.. would make things a tad better, imo.
