settings help lag fix

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, Ive been playing dayz for a while and it's been really laggy I tried different tweaks but none of them seemed to work that much.

In singleplayer I'm getting a good fps but in multiplay I'm not..

So these are my specs:

AMD Phenom II x4 (3,2Ghz)

Geforce 260GTX

5GRam DDR3

Samsung Satat 800 SSD

So I should be able to run Dayz easily but lots of people saying different things, some people say I should configure on very high and some say on very low, I tried windowed mode and that didn't seem to work.

Here's my Arma 2 OA config:

language="English";

adapter=-1;

3D_Performance=32609;

Resolution_Bpp=32;

Windowed=0;

Resolution_W=1920;

Resolution_H=1080;

winY=187;

winW=1532;

winH=600;

winDefW=1532;

winDefH=600;

Render_W=1920;

Render_H=1080;

FSAA=0;

postFX=0;

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=0;

HDRPrecision=8;

lastDeviceId="";

localVRAM=911605760;

nonlocalVRAM=2147483647;

vsync=0;

AToC=0;

PPAA=0;

PPAA_Level=0;

FXAA=0;

class ModLauncherList

Settings:

Texture Detail: Very High

Video Memory: Default

Antistopic Filtering: Disabled

Antialisnig: Disabled

ATOC: Disabled

TerrainDetail: Very high

Objects Detail: Very High

Shadow Detail: Very high

HDR Quality: Normal

Interface size: Very small

Aspect Ratio: 16:9 - wide

Vsync: Disabled

Quality Preference: Very high

Interface Resolution 1920*1080

3D resolution: 1920*1080

Please help me and tell me what to change it would be really appreciated.

- Thanks.

My exp is that altering in-game settings do precious little to boost performance, but you definitely should try and lower QP and res.

yourname.arma2profile tweaks to try:

shadingQuality=0;

shadowQuality=0;

sceneComplexity=100000;

viewDistance=1600;

Even with a system that "should be able to handle stuff", you should look into running the DayZ files from a ssd or RAMdisk. Here´s a link to a thread that helped me: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/54615-help-needed-with-ramdisk-cant-find-create-disk-after-soft-reset/

Good lcuk!
