To the Moon, Alice

Recommended Posts

Server Name:

US 1767 NY IP 108.61.60.66 port 2302

(Your) Timezone:

Central

Date/Time:

8/5/12 - 2:05

Server Administrator('s):

SAdraGoons

What happened:

Several friends and I were teleported extremely high in the air (apparently this happened to everyone on the server) and miles away. When I saw the "too the moon, Alice" message, I logged off. When I logged into another server, I fell to my death. Same thing happened to the other people I know.

Evidence/Proof: I didn't think to take a screenshot so, unfortunately, I have no proof of this. However, this seems to be happening to others.

This just happened to me, too (same server even). I aborted immediately, logged into a different server, and I was still midair. I tried to time it to disconnect right before I hit the ground but mistimed it and died.

At the very least, if this kind of hack can't be stopped, can our elevation be reset to 0 on login so we can abort when this happens?

Exact same circumstances. Extraordinarily frustrating, as I was doing everything in my power to play safely and avoid death, and I get killed by a random hack. Setting elevation to ground level on server login would help, as would a temporary invulnerability to damage/bleeding/legbreaking on login.

And of course fixing the hack. :)

Same thing just happened on NZ 17 server.

Way up in the air, some msg about Alice and the Moon. Tried to abort but the option was grayed out.

That sucks, I thought it did actually. One time I d/ced in a heli and I came back to being in the water under where the heli was.
