Server shutdowns

So I had gear on three servers. Tents. Weapons. Fucking awesome weapons. Ammo. Vehicles. Figured I'd spread them out around the place, you know? Not put all my gear/eggs in one camp/basket. Logged in today after a mass kill wiped out everyone on another server I was on, and the server browser returns no search results for each of these three servers. All three servers are gone. And so is all my shit. So I'd just like to say a big go fuck yourself to all the server admins out there who like to think they're doing people some kind of a favor. You're not. Die.

To answer your question, the point of the mod is currently to test new features which the devs have allowed us the public to take part in. Just be grateful your even playing the mod at this stage or GTFO and wait till the standalone is out.

Probably take your Ritalin and wait like 2-3 minutes for the servers to come back up, since they probably just restarted or went down for some random reason.

Our server US 1476 was hacked last night, not the normal thunderdome etc hack but a more malicious one trying to change server slots and so forth. So needless to say until further notice ours is off line as well!

OP I suggest you pay for a server deal with hackers and so forth then you might have a idea why its so frustrating for the admins, (who are not all hackers despite what some silly people believe) there is a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes you may not be aware of and slightly more important then all that cool gear you may or may not lose!

its alpha, don't get attached to your gear.

Rule #1 = Never trust anyone, not even server admins

Go back to COD or get your own server and use ALT+F4 in server console if you don't like it.

Hadn't really thought about it beyond "Bawww, my loot! My beautiful, beautiful loot!" before I posted. I guess you wish your problems were that benign, and contrary to how I sound, I do appreciate the hosts and admins and devs. From a player's perspective though, the kids with the scripts are a fucking cancer, which is what I hope they all die of.

Actualy, the Arma 2 server browser bugs out a lot. I'm quite sure if you search for the IP's of the servers and try to join them through remote, you'll actualy find them.
