Bad Version, Server Rejected Connection

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody, I'm new to this forum and relatively new to DayZ as well. While I look forward to any future discussions, I came here first and foremost for a solution to this damned problem. (Before I start I just wanted to say I have 1.7.2.4 and the latest beta 95417.)

Before you ask I've read just about every single thread out there that talks about this problem. And none of the fixes worked. I've verified game cache files, I've manually reinstalled DayZ (as well as letting SixLauncher do it), I've manually done beta updates (as well as letting SixLauncher do it), I've even reinstalled all of ArmA II and OA, none of these stopped the annoying error that plagues every server I try to go on: "Bad Version, Server Rejected Connection." To which I am returned to the main menu. This has been happening for nearly a day now and I can't play with my friends, so if you guys have any ideas, they are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

By the way, I use Six Launcher.

Also, before this problem had shown up an hour before the ceremonious shit fest known as battlEye began to kick me since it continually failed to update every time. And I'm betting if I'm finally able to find a fix for this, that'll be back to haunt me again. I've tried downloading both the v1.62 DLL files from their website and replacing both of the ones in ArmA II and OA, and this only seems to make me last an extra 10 minutes before I'm kicked- and in order to last longer I have to manually replace the ones in ArmA II and OA every single time I launch the game or else I'm almost immediately kicked. Yes, I've reinstalled battlEye more than 5 times now. Thanks again.

the servers are random and some run diff versions of the game. if you use the sixlauncher dont click on a server just hit launch or what ever it says. should bring up arma2 where you can see what Version you have in the bottom right should end in like 417 if you sixlauncher is up to date. then exit the game. go back to the six launcher and make it as wide as possible. on the far right side you will see version numbers. pick a server that matches your version number.

Okay, so after using your suggestion of just pressing launch, I've come across what might be the problem; DayZ isn't properly loading into ArmA II. Despite the fact that I went to DayZ on six launcher, verified, and launched I still have single player available + @DayZ isn't available in expansions. It's almost as if the game is completely ignoring all of the DayZ files.

Also, while I used to have the DayZ logo as the usual loading screen, now it's just the OA loading screen, which is confirming my suspicions. I'm going to try a third reinstall, I'll post the results.

Same results with the reinstall. Please someone help, this is extremely annoying and aggravating and I haven't been able to play with my friends.

Okay, after total shredding of both the Six Launcher and @DayZ folder and then reinstalling Six Launcher and letting it install DayZ, it has seemed to decide to work now. But, as I predicted, battlEye is being a bitch again, so help with that is appreciated as well. Thanks.

i think from you doing the update your self. and six launcher doing it. it was conflicting each other. have you tryed adding steam/six/arma/battlEye to your firewall exceptions/ antivirus exceptions. or try run as admin. or possibly even add ports to your router for arma2. not sure how to help you. i have not been playing arma for that long. just general tech support options that work for me on other games. also if you get an error message or anything just pop it into google and see what comes up. not sure if your getting an error message.
