My friend can't see my servers and vice-versa

My friend installed dayz trough commander and I manually installed the beta Armapatch and dayz trough steam. I can't launch commander or six updater so there's this difference. All the servers he sees are different from mine. I can't understand this and because of this issue, I can't play in the same server. Any help?
