Ronburgundy 5 Posted August 5, 2012 Been on Dayz for 3 months and up until recently i was lucky enough to not be affected by the hacker curse. That all ended a short while ago.I have tried to find an official statement from the Dev team but have not been successful (if there is one can someone point me in the right direction). What i would like to know is. Do the dev's acknowledge that there is a problem. Do the devs appreciate that it has exploded in recent weeks. Are they actively trying to come up with a solution between themselves BI and BE.What saddens me is that people who i have seen on servers in the past are now being reported for hacking meaning that a lot of people must be thinking well if you cant beat them...Its an Alpha i appreciate that but anything however small to try and stop this now i think would be appreciated by the greater part of this community.Apologies for making yet another hacker thread and fueling there mighty e-peens.Stay classy Chernarus
Never 237 Posted August 5, 2012 Rockets stated they are working on fixes, but they won't be giving updates. Mainly to keep the hackers in the dark about what BI & BE are trying to do.Its not going to be easy to make it solid though.
Stings2pee 106 Posted August 5, 2012 There are no hackers. There are no false positives. BattleEye is issuing global bans daily. DayZ is completely secure and hacker-free. :)

caboose_neg_1 24 Posted August 5, 2012 is it ironic that "Never" answered a question about when/if hackers are going to be dealt with?

thesodesa 99 Posted August 5, 2012 Rocket has also stated that they are probably not going to do anything serious about the hackers before the standalone release.
Ronburgundy 5 Posted August 5, 2012 @Never. Thanks for the response. I appreciate that they are not going to divulge too much info would be counter productive. Was just wondering if its something thats a priority at the moment or whether they are going to leave it while they develop the stand-alone.
Never 237 Posted August 5, 2012 (edited) is it ironic that "Never" answered a question about when/if hackers are going to be dealt with?So i have a guy with 7 posts accusing me of being a hacker have I? vitdom 56 Posted August 5, 2012 (edited) 2 aug 2012Somewhere in this interview, Rocket says "Hacking is our #1 priority right now". My bet why Rocket wants to do a full patch instead of a hotfix right now is because he is waiting for both BI and BE to release new updates enabling super awesome anti-abuse functions and hacker detection. There wouldn't be any other logical explanation to why Rocket wouldn't release a hotfix fixing bugs and the INFINITE AMMO issue. (moving from unlimited->limited ammo would give hackers even more advantage, thus Rocket wants to get rid of the hackers before this happens) Edited August 5, 2012 by Vitdom
