Invisible Player Killed Me

I was just killed on CA 16 - hosted by nrkGaming.org. He popped up behind me and yelled at me to stop running, I ignored him because I couldn't see him. I knew exactly what was going on and so he shot me in the leg and told me to "be nice".. I laughed and told him to eff off, 10 seconds later he shoots me.

My name was SlimFatty and it happened at 4:00am EST. Here's a list of the names on that server at the time.

Padish

Lord Smoo

Macoute

Dr. Whisky

Geoff Oglivy

and me - SlimFatty

So basically whoever killed SlimFatty at 4:00am EST on that server is the cheater.

Sorry to those people I listed that had nothing to do with it, but I had no way of knowing who it was. But I'm sure the server logs show exactly who killed me at that time.

Should listen to people more often : P Usually when someone tells you to stop running in dayZ you probably should just surrender. They actually talked instead of gunning you down instantly.

Ya know, if it was a legit player that ambushed me, yeah I would've happily stopped and gone from there. But when a stupid kid with a cheat bugs me, eff him. If he's too pussy to show himself, then I'm not wasting my time with it. He just wanted attention and I wasn't going to give it to him.

Nope, couldn't see him at all. It was obvious he was right behind me when he was talking to me and when he fired his gun. I had plenty of time to alt+f4 or just disconnect, but I chose to lay on the ground with a broken leg and let him shoot me; I wasn't going to run from this guy who's afraid to play the game. I think he was surprised by my response though; he was talkative until I told him to eff off, then he just shut up for about 10-15 seconds and shot me.

Ya know I don't even care about this, I'm just really curious as to what kind of person feels the need to cheat like that. Is it some innate fear or conditioning of not being the "best", or just lack of confidence in themselves to just go play the game and see what happens? I'm very curious. It's too bad really, they're depriving themselves of any challenge, which is what makes most games fun.
