New here about to spawn

So how hard is it to find players to meet up when your new? I am about to spawn but have no clue how if i meet someone say on here we meet up in game since there are tons of servers in te hive.

You will want to meet someone on the forums and work out the details with them over Skype, Vent or TS... running up to a random player in game will end up with you getting killed 9 times out of 10.

Try not to approach an armed person in-game, chances are, they'll shoot you. If you have a mic, use it and inform them that you're unarmed and friendly (Of course only if you actually are).

Depends how many players are in the server, where you spawn, and if any sort of cheating is going on at the moment. If you find yourself in a major city expect to be shot at pretty quickly. If you're in the wilderness you probably won't run into much expect some zombies. If there is any cheating going on then you might find yourself teleported in front of someone who is now emptying his rifle into your back.

If you want to meet up with people you know, then get on the same server and try following this map: http://dayzdb.com/map#5.073.126 since there is likely little chance you'll be able to know where you're going at first.

yeah no mic here ordered a headset but that will be a week or so(need it for planetside 2) so i suppose im on my own then till then

also game takes forever to load even on low ping servers and i have a very fast computer and connection im assuming just how the alpha version works alsways the lopngest wait after waiting for character to create then the screen that says loading that one takes forever
