Varying movement speeds?

Recommended Posts

Last night I was playing with some friends. But I was losing ground on them the whole night. It seems like my sprint wasn't really sprinting that much. I was losing about 10metres ever 100metres. Is there something like inventory size that makes you move a bti slower?

Not to my knowledge.

My friend always runs slower than me as well.

I'll post again if I find anything new out worth sharing.

Edit: It's most likely just latency differences. You're positive you were double tapping W?

I don't really know... But what me and my group have found out is;

(x) = seems to have an effect.

( ) = no effect.

Blood count (x)

Hunger count (x)

Thirst count (x)

Backpack ( )/(x)

Weapon (x)

that's what we think so far... no sensible idea though,.

Maybe your primary weapon affects run speed? It would make sense that you run faster with a makarov than with a .50cal.

The again, maybe you just need to lay off the beans...

I think its the primary weapon, I was running with a group of mates and one of them flew past us. Either that or he took steroids...

Weapons and backpacks don't affect running speed. I'm fairly sure it's based on your friends lag. My friend was running EXTREMELY slow a few days ago. Then we realized his graphics somehow got on "High" once he turned it to "Low" (I think) he was running about the same speed as us.

EDIT: See video here. About 1 minute in he shows a backpack-less and unarmed survivor running the same distance as someone with a gun and Coyote pack.
